Program Objective:
The objective of this program is to offer excellent training
in the care and maintenance of primarily dogs and cats. By
offering this training, graduates can pursue a career working
in an animal hospital, boarding kennel or shelter, offering
safe handling and care of pets along with basic grooming knowledge,
standards of care, dog breed identification, proper disinfecting
standards, CPR and first aid.
Program Description:
Kennel technicians work in boarding kennels, animal hospitals,
and all types of shelters. They care for primarily dogs and
cats, but in some situations birds and rodents and maybe an
occasional bovine. Kennel techs provide the necessary nurturing
in the absence of their pet parents. Some of the animals, are
sick, have been abandoned or lost. Many are just boarding while
family is away, or they may be in an animal hospital receiving
treatment. Some of the duties include, feeding, exercising,
bathing, brushing, trimming nails, light grooming, walking,
spending time providing attention to the pets emotional well
-being and cleaning and disinfecting areas. Kennel techs are
responsible for monitoring food, water, medications and all
basic care needs. Job descriptions can vary slightly depending
on placement. A kennel technician is an important job that
requires physical ability to work with dogs and the personal
commitment to be accountable to them.

Program Objective:
The objective of this program is to provide training for those
who would like to work in a professional pet grooming salon as
a prep groomer.
Program Description:
This program is designed for those students with no experience
or prior training intending to pursue a career as a professional
pet groomer assistant. The students will learn basic pet grooming
skills such as bathing, blow drying, de-matting, ear care, nail
trimming and grinding and rough cutting techniques. Students will
learn a summer cut and a winter cut on several breeds of dog.
Student will learn clipper care and care of tools. In addition
to hands on training, students will attend a dog show. This
program is a combination of theory and practical hands-on skills.
Students will learn parasitology, canine anatomy, handling and
restraint techniques, CPR and first aid, study all seven groups of
AKC dogs.

Program Objective:
The objective of this program is to prepare the student to work
in, manage, or operate a professional grooming salon, mobile
unit, or work independently.
Program Description:
The Professional Pet Grooming Program is designed for those
students with no prior experience or training, intending to
pursue a career as a professional pet groomer. In addition
to learning all necessary grooming skills and a comprehensive
breed study, students will also learn successful salon operations.
Students will attend a minimum of two dog shows, dedicating
at least two hours of observation time in the grooming area
at the show. This program prepares students to work independently
in a salon, on a mobile unit, or in a Veterinary clinic that
offers in house grooming. This is a complete program.

Program Objective:
This program is designed for creative students who have acquired
previous training in the dog grooming trade. The student will
begin the program after successful demonstration of skills to
the instructor prior to enrolling. Students will expand their
knowledge of the grooming industry and list of services and will
learn successful grooming salon operations. Students will practice
grooming on a more technical yet artistic level enhancing their
menu of services to their grooming clients and the program will
incorporate show grooming, with emphasis on scissoring and
finishing with the use of hand tools. In addition, students will
attend a minimum of two dog shows, dedicating time for observation
in the grooming area. This program includes creative design,
safe color application, natural color and Asian style fusion
grooming. This program includes an extensive breed study in
addition to breed specific pet grooming.
Program Description:
Students will learn creative grooming techniques and styles
to include, Fusion, Creative Color and show grooming, dog show
handling and successful salon operations. Graduates will offer
more interesting options to their clients and enhance their
menu of services offered as a professional groomer.

Program Objective:
The objective of this program is to prepare existing groomers
to master certify with the National Dog Groomers Association
of America or competition.
Program Description:
Completion of a pet grooming program is recommended prior to
enrolling in this program. The student will begin the program
after successful demonstration of skills to the instructor
prior to enrolling. The Master Groomer Program enables students
to acquire the technical knowledge and the higher skill level
necessary to certify with the National Dog Groomers Association
of America. Instruction includes a combination of theory and
practical experiences with live animals and visual aids. Dog
show attendance is crucial to the successful completion of
this program. Students will have hands on training related
to the various breeds of dogs from all AKC groups.
The program will incorporate show grooming, with emphasis on
scissoring and finishing with hand tools. This program includes
creative design, safe color application and Asian style fusion
grooming. This program includes an extensive breed study in
